We use robots in our lab to perform tasks that are either uninteresting or risky for humans to handle. We train these robots to facilitate certain functions so that humans can spend more time ideating and solving problems.
We have lots of computers and machines working away in our lab as you walk in. We regularly put our data scientists and engineers to work on the types of problems that need to get accomplished — such as robots to build product in an automated factory or search the ocean floor.
We are constantly experimenting with robots and automation. Our scientists search for methods to boost the efficiency of our robots, such as designing new concepts or more advanced detectors.
Every project in the lab begins with an idea. After we have an idea, the team makes a road map to execute it. Computer programs help us test our designs before putting them into a physical model. We iterate to perfection after we have a working model.
